UK announces a big an important investment in roads

Last June, UK Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander announced in a speech to the House of Commons an investment in Britain's roads equating to £28bn over the six years from 2014. It includes plans for greater working with local authorities and Local Enterprise Partnerships to identify priority opportunities for the strategic road network to support economic development.
