EUPAVE and Febelcem Workshop on Advanced Concrete Paving Technologies at MATEXPO 2025

On Thursday 11 September 2025, EUPAVE and Febelcem organised their fifth joint workshop during Road Construction Day at MATEXPO 2025 in Kortrijk. The event gathered 35 participants.

The workshop opened with a welcome and introduction by Hervé Camerlynck, Managing Director of EUPAVE and Febelcem and Luc Rens, Technical Director of EUPAVE and Consulting Engineer at BEpave.

As part of his introduction, Luc Rens provided updates on Power Curbers and Roos Groep, who could not participate in person, ensuring their recent developments were also represented in the programme.

The technical programme featured presentations from:

• Wirtgen Slipform Paver SP 33 – HMI Humane Machine Interface
  Martin Datzert, Product Manager, WIRTGEN GROUP
• Gomaco’s latest state-of-the-art developments and field experiences
  Patrick Zanen, Global Director of Business Development, GOMACO International Ltd
• Latest Evolution of Concrete Paving with Somero Laser Screed & 3D Profiler
  Ian Jones, Business Development Manager, Somero Enterprises Ltd

The event concluded with closing remarks and a visit to the outdoor exhibition on the stand of De Bruycker-Kemp.

At 12:00, participants joined the official “Day of Road Construction” walking-lunch offered by MATEXPO.
