EUPAVE visits Wirtgen factory in Windhagen

On 2–3 September 2026, EUPAVE visited the headquarters and factory of Wirtgen GmbH in Windhagen, Germany, for a closer look at the company’s manufacturing activities and technologies for slipform paving.

The programme started with an informal dinner on 2 September, followed the next morning by a welcome session at Wirtgen’s headquarters. The visit then continued with a two-part factory tour, offering an insight into Wirtgen’s production facilities and manufacturing processes.

Following lunch at the Wirtgen cafeteria, the programme continued with the second part of the factory tour and a demonstration of the Wirtgen Autopilot System, highlighting the company’s approach to automation and technology in slipform paving.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discover Wirtgen’s facilities first-hand and to exchange on developments and technologies relevant to the concrete paving sector.
